Hi all! We’ll get back to the EDC Gold & EDC Diamond Industry of the Day series in just a bit, but first I wanted to announce some exciting news!
I’ve been invited to speak at one of our upcoming, live Saturday training classes with top earners Chris & Martin Line! This is by far the biggest honor I’ve received, and I’m pretty excited! I’ll be speaking on the topic of personal branding, pretty much the do’s and don’ts and some unconventional tactics to help yourself stand out from the crowd. There’s also another important issue I’ll be addressing, and that is women and success in home business.
Chris brought to my attention that several of his women team members and women interested in joining EDC Gold & EDC Diamond have frequently asked why there are no women in leadership positions in this company, or why it seems like fewer women succeed than men. I’ve also been asked these same questions, even had some folks tell me that they feel they won’t be successful because they are women. Now I’m an equal opportunity kind of person, and I feel like anyone and everyone has the potential to succeed with this business. But there are some specific issues plaguing women (I’m seeing them over and over again) that haven’t yet been addressed, and I think it’s time we all discussed them out in the open.
While I’m happy to see anyone succeed, I think it’s important for women to know that they can be successful also, that unlike the corporate world which generally caters to men, we can cross thresholds in home business that it would otherwise take us a lot of time and hardship to cross. Women have unique skills and characteristics which are embedded in our very beings, which make us perfectly suited for home business success. I think more women need to learn about these and really tap into them! And this class will be a bit of a history-maker, as I’ll be the first woman EDC member to be asked to speak on a live training class!
