I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and have been since my younger years. At the age of 13 I was learning about HTML, creating websites, joining affiliate programs and looking for ways to become more savvy with technology. In college I started my own web design business, showcasing animal breeders to help them gain more exposure for their breeding and training services. In later years this expanded to photography and other creative services. I am now in the process of launching several other ventures, many of which will be running by the end of the year.
I am now engaged, and blessed to have someone who is as into business and entrepreneurship as I am. We’re working together toward a future in which we’ll be working only for ourselves, being fully retired from the working world by the age of 30! We’re planning getting married in the fall of next year (my favorite season), so everything I’m doing is in preparation for that time! But right now, we’re both just enjoying life, being able to work from home and have the freedom to pursue our passions!

Hi Ina! I’d like to introduce myself first and foremostl, my name is Paul. I live in Montreal, which I dislike, and I’m seventeen years old. I have green eyes, dark brown medium length hair, and I’m fairly short for a boy standing at about five feet and six inches tall! ^_^
Now, I think you’re a pretty good person, very professional and proud of what you do. I admire this very much. I read most of the debate you had with Brian over the “finance” forums, and while I see why he takes the position he does, I also think you made some extremely good points. Namely, comparing any typical pyramid scheme to that of real world business, was very clever of you; because it’s so very true. The workers are paid peanuts in any typical company while the owners who don’t do as much work as the core of the work force, earn the most money.
See, EDC is better than that, because no one is at the top, so it’s not a pyramid. And the products are quite good, from what I’ve seen, though there’s some filler content if you ask me.
Two things I wanted to ask you though, recently I was trying to download some of these products for myself, I’m very low on money right now, so without any advertising budget it’s difficult to promote my site (I’m already a member of edc, my sponsor is Shea Korte, not sure if you’ve ever heard of him, he’s the leading member in Australia), anyhow, I wanted to try to sell a few of these products on eBay to get some money to advertise the site and pay the monthly fee that is now due.
The second question I wanted to ask you, is if I can still make a sale without paying the monthly fee? It would be good to know.
I hope you’re having a fabulous day, and if you’d like you could contact me back via my e-mail enigmatic_artist@yahoo.com or via msn at nolimitswithfaith@videotron.ca
Looking forward to hearing back from you,
Paul.

Hello Paul,
You should be able to sell whatever products you wish from the back office with no problem. However, I don’t suggest selling them on eBay. If I were you, I’d set up a completely different website, and use a service like Payloadz so that customers can pay you directly using paypal and then download their products as soon as they’ve paid. That will be much better than you having to keep up with who has purchased what and getting the software sent to them on time. The problem with eBay is that there are lots of folks out there who sell the same products, but don’t seem to value them very much. So they’ve set very low prices for many of them (some as low as $.99). So you’ll have to compete with that, or be ignored because of these other merchants. Not to mention, eBay has several fees associated with selling products, and these fees can very. Setting up your own site will eliminate a lot of that and allow you to keep more of your money!
Now, whether or not you can still make a sale without having paid the admin fee depends on how long overdue the payment is. Sometimes they will cut off your access rather quickly to your replicated sites and some features of the back office until the fee is paid. It also depends on what payment processor you are using. If you are using LinkPoint or Safepay, which is through the back office, you may not be able to receive sales. I usually accept my payments outside the system, so I’m not sure how that works. I suggest you get that admin fee paid if you can, and ASAP. Talk to Wendy in billing and let her know what’s going on. She’s usually good for working with people. Regardless, you shouldn’t accept money or a sale until you’re sure that you’ll be able to immediately provide your new member with access to everything they need. Otherwise, you’ll be setting yourself up for a refund request, and damaging your reputation. Do what you can to get your admin feel paid first. Hope that helps, and good luck!

Hello Ina,
I joined this business on Nov 23rd and the person I joined under has not helped me at all. They just took my money and left me out in the cold. I cannot afford to just let it go. So, I have been all over the internet trying to find others in the business that would be willing to take me on and teach me what I need to know to be successful in this business. I am so ready to get started. I just need help. If you are willing to help me, please respond via email.
Thanks in advance

Hello Mechelle,
I’m sorry about your sponsor. That seems, unfortunately, to still be an issue with this and many other business opportunities. Because of this, I’ve set up a Co-op program to assist other EDC members who have not received help from their own sponsors.
I’ve chosen to create this program because months ago, I was receiving 5 to 10 emails a day from EDC members in need of help. The program has done well, but also received some opposition from others who feel my training and services should be free to everyone.
While we’re on the subject (and I’ll be going into detail about this later), there is a charge for joining my Co-op program. It covers the costs of your access to our team’s training community, EDC Learning Center, design and maintenance of your customized website, logo creation and 1-on-1 training and support from me. While I could offer this free, the fact of the matter is that it costs me to provide these things, in both money and time. Not to mention, because these are not my personal team members, I would otherwise receive no benefit for taking others on and giving them the same advantage as those who did choose to join with me.

Hi Ina. I am currently researching the EDC program. I would like to have more information on this from someone who has actually used this and not just someone from the primary website before I invest. I am currently a single mom looking to supplement my income and eventually change careers. Does this system work, if I put the time, effort and money into this, will it logically work. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. sweetmist0111@hotmail.com

hello Ina:
There are a lot to say why here I am staying up the whole night and searching information about home based business. I was first attracted by a web ad says homebased buzi without calling or knowing too much people and found out it is herbalife, and my potential convinced me and sent a COD package which is still lying in postal office for 288 dollars. While struggling whether I should start with the herbalife, i did some web searching, then this whole Saturday night or I should say Sunday early morning I found things like EDC, R2R things, until traced you from the finance forum. I admit it was quite exciting, especially after I experienced a threat from my restaurant boss to fire me on Friday. Well, i also found out that I really need one my own website to do all of these, and to be honest, I have my own pointed customers — Chinese, especially who work long time and get little pay in restaurant like me, so uh, i guess, the competition would a little bit less than you English spoken guys? So I am quite interested to purchase your training package (which also could help me to set up a website belong to me, right?) So, can you please tell me whether your template works with chinese content, if not, I may still need your training, but leave the website to a local company. Please reply me to liren.wang@gmail.com, thank you and happy holiday.

Snowboy,
Unfortunately I cannot do much to help you that would be considered legal. I believe you have to be at least 18 to join EDC. When I was 15 and needed money, I worked. That is all I can suggest for right now.

I was looking into the program and just wanted to know some more details on the memberships. Is it possible to join without paying upfront and then when I get sales just use that towards my fee?
PowerAdvisor27 said,

Hello Crystal,
EDC offers free trial membership, which allows you to view the back office, attend training, access the owners, etc. However, this free trial does not allow you to begin selling the products or promoting the program. There are a couple of reasons for this.
First off, the initial fee of either $2500, $997 or $397 is your actual product purchase (which gives you the right to resell the various products & tools). If you wish to create a retail-based software business through EDC, you must purchase a product package in order to gain resell rights to those products. Next, EDC provides several tools for those wishing to take part in the business opportunity, including replicated websites, lead capture pages, flash videos etc. The monthly fee goes toward web hosting, bandwidth etc. to help keep your websites and tools running smoothly.
There are affiliate programs out there that will let you get started for free, however these programs do not usually pay well for your efforts, even though you’d be doing the same amount of work to promote that type of program as you would EDC. I
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at info@learn2earnfromhome.net!

I was reading your comments on the Financial Forum and am quite impressed with your approach to your business. I too am a realist and have been doing extensive research into starting my own business.
I would like to hear more from you about starting a business in EDC.

Not sure what the issues with my blog are, but I contacted wordpress so hopefully we’ll get things figured out soon. No errors show on this end, which is strange…
